Grandview Heights High School Holds In Person Freshman Orientation, Precautions in Place - Tuesday, August 4, 2020
A Message from Grandview Heights High School Principal Robert Brown
Good afternoon, Freshmen and Families!
We have clearance for in-person orientation!! I hope that makes all of you as happy as it makes me. We will have safety precautions in place, but this is absolutely optional, so anyone who is not comfortable will have an opportunity to receive all of the necessary information at a later date, in a different format. Additionally, if you are out of town or otherwise unavailable, we will have a makeup date (TBD).
Details:
Tuesday, August 4, 2020
Students last name beginning with 'A' through 'D' will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will be finished by 11:30 a.m.
Students last name beginning with 'E' through 'L' will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be finished by 12:30 p.m.
Students last name beginning with 'M' through 'P' will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will be finished by 1:30 p.m.
Students last name beginning with 'Q' through 'Z' will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will be finished by 2:30 p.m.
--Please arrive at the front door of the high school close to your 'begin' time
--All students must wear masks and maintain 6 feet of distance from others.
--Temperatures will be checked as you enter through the main doors.
--Students will spend approximately 1 hour in the auditorium where they will have an opportunity to meet teachers, get necessary information, and ask questions. The last 30 minutes will be dedicated to a tour of the building; student mentors will take groups of five (5) freshmen through the building and answer questions.
I know we have a lot of regulations in place, but safety is the most important aspect of anything we do. Regardless of the measures, I can promise this will be a fun, informative day for students.
This is all subject to change. If that happens, I will send something out immediately.
Respectfully,
Rob Brown, Principal
