On February 18, 2020, after the Bobcats Girls Varsity Basketball game, Grandview Heights High School's Basketball Program retired #42 from the lineup for both Boys and Girls basketball in memory of Steve Hall - a former teacher, a parent, and beloved community member. Hall passed away on February 17, 2015, after a courageous 18 month battle with colon cancer.  Hall taught AP mathematics and coached multiple sports during his 18 years with the Grandview Heights Schools.

 

Both of Hall's children, Eli and Emma, donned the #42 jersey during their four-year basketball careers at Grandview Heights High School.  Hall, who played for the OSU Buckeyes during college, wore #42.
