A total of 53 students from grades 2-7 submitted story entries in the 6th Annual Grandview Heights Halloween Writing Contest (four of whom are remote learners with Florida Virtual School and one of those four is a winner). The winning writers this year are Cameron Berkemer (gr. 2); Luke Jolson (gr. 3); Hannah Crossley (gr. 4); Mira Bondy (gr. 5); Stephie Chute (gr. 6); and Landon Roberts (gr. 7). Congratulations to these Bobcat Writers!
"It was so uplifting to see young writers continue to be involved at school in spite of many challenges this year. The judges were immensely impressed with the talents and imaginations of all six writers (as well as many others!) and were especially touched by how some of them handled the "2020 Situation" with aplomb," said Joan Grundley, a gifted education teacher and the contest coordinator.
The winning entries are attached. Enjoy the reads!
