Light Up the Night! Fund a Scholarship!

Grandview Civic Welfare Club Luminaria Sale Funds Scholarships - December 11, 12, 18, and 19, 2020

Since 1987, the Grandview Civic Welfare Club has sold holiday luminary kits (candles, sand/birdseed, white bag, and lighter) to light up the streets of Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff. Since 1996, all proceeds from the sale have been used to fund college scholarships for Grandview Heights High School graduating seniors. All proceeds benefit the Grandview Civic Welfare Scholarship Fund. Grandview Civic has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to Grandview Heights High School Students.

The sale and pick up dates are: December 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The sale and/or pick up of sold kits will be Christie Kaufman’s home (out of garage in the alley) located behind 1240 Wyandotte Road. Be prepared on December 24th to have your supplies ready to line your walkway with luminaria. Candles are placed in a bag with sand or birdseed in the bottom. Light your candles and for 10 hours and the streets of Grandview Heights and Marble Cliff will shine! The brighter the streets on December 24 - the more scholarships! In the event of inclement weather on December 24, residents are asked to line the streets on December 31.
