During a special board meeting on Friday, July 9, 2021, the Grandview Heights Schools Board of Education voted to approve Lisa Sullivan to serve as the new Stevenson Elementary principal. She succeeds Angela Ullum, who has accepted the position of Chief Academic Officer of Grandview Heights Schools.
Mrs. Sullivan is a knowledgeable and skilled professional educator with 15 years of experience in classroom instruction, and leadership. She has served as a classroom teacher, literacy and math coach, and most recently as the Assistant Principal of Bailey Elementary in Dublin City Schools.
Grandview Heights Schools engaged in a comprehensive process to select the next Stevenson Elementary principal that included community members, teachers and administrators. She will earn a salary of $100,000 and will be entitled to a percentage of board-paid medical insurance; board-paid life insurance in the amount of 1.5 times her salary, and board-paid dental insurance, all provided by Board policy to other administrators of the district. The district will also be picking up the cost of Sullivan's contribution to the State Teacher Retirement System, which equates to 15.96% of her salary.
“Mrs. Sullivan has a growth mindset and is passionate about applying research-based, data and student-driven solutions to advance student learning, improve school culture, and elevate the community,” said Superintendent Andy Culp. “She believes in working to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and our parents. She is very honored to have an opportunity to join our school community and our community more broadly. She believes in always putting students first. We look forward to her joining our team.”
