Lights! Camera! Action! This week students are getting ready for the first broadcast of Bobcat Television, or what is referred to by almost everyone at Edison Intermediate/Larry Larson Middle School, as BCTV.
Instructed by teacher Megan Brady, students learn to write scripts, make video clips, work video cameras, and deliver the daily announcements as BCTV team members garnering real-world experience and work perspective. These tasks incorporate a variety of language arts standards, including writing and speaking. BCTV is an elective activity offered to seventh and eighth grade students. Anyone who is interested in learning about video production and broadcasting is welcome to join the BCTV team.
