Camp Invention June 13-17, 2016

Grandview Heights Schools proudly hosted its first Camp Invention June 13-17, 2016, at Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School demonstrating once again how Grandview Heights Schools is a small place to dream big.

Camp Invention, created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame, is the only nationally recognized summer program focused on creativity, innovation, real-world problem solving, and the spirit of invention.

Under the leadership of Chief Academic Officer Dr. Jamie Lusher, 50 plus students in first through sixth grades participated in the camp.  Dr. Lusher was assisted by teachers Vicki Dunlevy and Lana Williamson, community volunteer and educator Erica Hecker, two middle school aged counselors in training, and a host of volunteers.  Campers explored their way through various activities, experiments, endeavors, and exercises to spark creativity and learning. Watch our students and staff in action in the attached movie.

Dates for the Summer 2017 Camp Invention will be announced at a later date.  Many thanks to all who helped support and enrich the Camp Invention experience.  To learn more about Camp Invention, visit www.campinvention.org
