Grandview Heights High School recently announced its Homecoming Court for 2016. The nominees for Queen (pictured below) are Regan Alexander, Emma Amurgis, Laura Brannan, Eliza Evans, and Ali Riggs. The nominees for King are Alan Field, Ben Fultz, Grant Hartman, Hunter Holland, and Alex West.
Beginning September 19, Homecoming 2016 will be an Olympic experience for students and staff. This year’s theme is “Countries of the World” whereby each class will decorate their hallway and lockers to represent a different country. The freshman class will find itself in Egypt, the sophomore class will transport visitors to China, the junior class will venture to India, and the senior hallway brings it home to the USA.
In addition to hallway decorations, each day has a different school-wide Spirit Week theme: Monday – Bobcat Spirit Day/Champions of Comedy Contest; Tuesday – Hipster vs. Prep Day; Wednesday – Jersey Day; Thursday – Twin Day; Friday – Dress in the Colors of your Hallway’s Flag Day.
The traditional Homecoming pep rally will take place Friday afternoon, September 23, from 2:30 to 3 p.m. in the Grandview Heights High School gymnasium. The Homecoming game will be Friday night at 7 p.m. against London High School.
