Athletic Department News

As the fall sports season comes to a close, residents will soon be seeing some activity happening at Bobcat Stadium and Anderson Field. Starting November 28, 2016, Grandview Heights Schools will begin the process of replacing the athletic turf.  In order to ensure everyone’s safety during this transition, the entire athletic facility from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue will be closed to students and residents. The replacement for the turf will be funded as part of our Permanent Improvement fund.

After nearly a decade of heavy use by both the school district and the community, the turf has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement. This time frame is typical for turf replacement and is critically needed in order to keep our student athletes on a safe and playable field. Our goal is to have the new turf in place well before the spring sports season.

Anderson Field is the athletic center of our Grandview Heights Schools community, and we are excited that this tradition will continue. If you should have any questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact Brad Bertani, Grandview Heights Athletic Director, at [email protected].  Thank you for your continued support!
