On February 22, 2017, the Facility Planning Process Community Engagement #4 meeting brought together more than 70 parents, staff members, and residents to review the Educational Visioning concepts, identify hopes and concerns, and learn more about the next steps in the facility planning process including the phase option framework.
After a welcome, introductions, and stated goals for the evening by Superintendent Andy Culp, Dr. Frank Locker of Frank Locker Educational Planning and Gary Sebach of OHM Advisors Architects presented the Educational Visioning workshops results as well as the process and schedule for master planning and phase option framework. Attendees then broke out into small groups to discuss hopes and concerns for Grandview Heights Schools. The small groups then reported out to the larger audience. The results of these conversations will be posted on the district website post tabulation.
Community Engagement Meeting #5 will be Monday, May 1, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. in the John Glenn Community Center - EI/LMS Commons and will include the first presentation of planning concepts/options. Community comments will be welcome and considered in revisions and discussions with the community-led Facilities Task Force.
Residents are encouraged to continue touring our facilities and see first-hand and up close our buildings on Tuesday, March 14 (Grandview Heights High School), on Wednesday, April 26 (GHHS Athletic Facilities), and on Tuesday, May 2 (Annex Building Tour).
