Stevenson Elementary's Annual All Arts Day, a Grandview Heights Schools tradition, was held on Friday, April 21, 2017, much to the delight of the students, staff, contributing artists, and parent volunteers. The weather cooperated as well! Students were engaged in a variety of arts from painting to ceramics to African dance to music.
A song was specially created and performed by Stevenson Elementary students on All Arts Day under the professional direction of parent and guest musician Rick Kinsinger. "Work hard, Be Kind, Be Safe" is the title of the song. Listen to it by clicking on the attachment.
Some works of art were even made from up-cycled books. "This project will be finished by the artist, Josh Miller, and returned for installation at Stevenson Elementary," said art teacher and event organizer Laura Bova.
Grandview Heights Schools thanks the many artists, volunteers, and staff members for their extra efforts and enthusiasm in providing All Arts Day to our students. And Save the date - May 12, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. when Stevenson Elementary will unveil a very special art installation on the front lawn.
