Muskingum University is offering a free opportunity for students to work on their math, reading, and enrichment skills in a fun environment.  Camp JumpStart! will be held Mondays through Thursdays, July 17-20 and 24-27, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Grandview Heights High School located at 1587 West Third Avenue.  An information/registration form is attached and due no later than July 13.

 

The camp is open to any student who has completed grades K-6 and who would like to review skills and get a "jump start" on the upcoming school year!  Any students with or without mild to moderate learning challenges are invited and welcome to attend.

 

Camp JumpStart! is directed by Muskingum University.  This is the third year that Grandview Heights Schools has hosted Muskingum University's graduate teaching program and the number of graduate students has doubled over time.  Seventeen graduate students, along with their supervisors, will work with the students to put their new and refined skills into practice as well as student teach or complete practicum hours.  Camp JumpStart! is a great teacher student partnership.  It enables teachers to learn from the students and allows the students to help further the teacher's education.
