The second annual K-3 and 4-8 PTO fundraising event, the Move-a-Thon, will be Wednesday, October 4, at Stevenson Elementary and Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School.  It is the primary K-3 PTO fundraiser of the year and helps to fund activities such as Science Day, All Arts Day, Foodie Fridays, Brain Blast, and so much more.  In addition, the PTOs hopes to earmark a portion of the proceeds to fund classroom equipment.  Last year the K-3 PTO provided alternative seating in every classroom.   

Last year over $10,000 was raised with the inaugural Move-a-Thon event.  The 2017-2018 budget has a similar projected amount so that the PTOs can continue to provide a level of programming that includes Biztown, field trips, MathCounts, field day, and more at Edison Intermediate/Larson Middle School

The Move-a-Thon event puts an emphasis on physical activity and wellness, that also integrates into the curriculum, while raising money for the PTOs.  No gift wrap, cookie dough, or magazine subscriptions to buy—just simple donations to the PTOs help them continue to provide excellent programming for students.  Anyone can donate!
