Grandview Heights High School has once again been named to the AP District Honor Roll by College Board and is the only school in Ohio to receive the award two years in a row.
The 8th Annual AP Honor Roll consists of 447 school districts (approximately 29,000 schools) in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved increases in access to Advanced Placement courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP exam.
Principal Ken Chaffin said, “The way that our students and staff take on challenges head-on is remarkable. The way that they continue to raise the bar and achieve at higher levels have become the new norm. I cannot be convinced that better students or staff could be found anywhere.”
To celebrate, Principal Chaffin treated all students and staff to cake on Friday, December 15. Students posed with the cakes in study hall and then GHHS alumni Hannah McDermott, Maddie Taylor, and Emma Berlin acted as servers.
