Grandview Heights High School is proud to present Shrek the Musical directed by April Olt, music directed by Andrew Grega and choreographed by Megan Overly. Based on the 2001 DreamWorks film, the original Broadway production opened in December 2008.
Shrek the Musical is different kind of fairy tale! In this story, curses can be reversed, the "monsters" can win, donkeys and dragons can find love, and princesses are beautiful in all shapes and sizes. These characters burst through the screen and come alive through projections designed by GHHS graduate Emma Pommering, whimsical costumes, high energy dance numbers, and a talented cast and crew representing all three of Grandview Heights Schools.
Shrek the Musical is rated G and fun for the entire family! This production transforms the contemporary children’s book and popular animated feature film into a stage musical that is sure to entertain and make audiences believers in happy endings for all.
